There is so much structure and organized coaching in our kids’ lives today that, at PYSL, we believe something special is being lost...the freedom to learn the game the way generations before them: in the streets, with friends, creativity, and joy leading the way.
Our Vaqueritos program is designed to bring that magic back. It offers a true street-soccer, pick-up environment for players who want to play simply for the love of the game...free from the pressures of teams, standings, coaches, and sideline expectations.
On ten Saturday mornings at Meadowbrook, Vaqueros FC Directors and coaching staff will be there only to facilitate by organizing teams on site by age and skill level, then stepping back to let the players play, experiment, and express themselves.

What is Saturday Street Style Soccer?
As spring kicks off, we're excited to offer every young player a true pick-up soccer experience to sharpen skills, boost creativity, and enjoy the game freely.
A classic pick-up style format—free-flowing, small-sided games inspired by street soccer, proven to build individual technical skills, decision-making, and flair through real play.

How It Works
- No fixed teams or rosters—teams are picked and balanced on the day by our staff based on who's there, age, and skill level for fair, fun matches
- Small-sided scrimmages (e.g., 4v4, 5v5) → maximum touches + constant "Go to Goal" action
- No formal coaching during games—our VFC Directors and staff facilitate setup, balance teams, and ensure safety, but the play is player-led: kids make decisions, experiment, self-officiate, and drive the game themselves
- Hands-off environment so players own the experience—just like classic street/pick-up soccer

- Spring Break skip: No sessions April 6–12
- Final session: May 23
Session Details
- Location: Meadowbrook MS
- U6–U10: 9:00 AM – 10:15 AM
- U12–U14: 10:30 AM – 11:45 AM
* For U11 players: since this is an "in-between" age group, U11 players can play in either the first or second session. We recommend more advanced players joining the second session, but feel free to try both to see what is the best fit.
Important notes
- No make-ups for weather or field issues (e.g., city closures)
- Refunds follow standard Vaqueros FC policy
- No formal teams
