Competitive Tryouts Locations

Each season, Vaqueros Futbol Club invites players of all ages to participate in tryouts for the opportunity to be selected into our competitive player development program. As part of our continued growth and commitment to instilling our core values, we are excited to announce that we will now be creating teams in both the Poway and Spring Valley areas. To support this expansion, tryouts will be held at two locations this year: Poway, CA, and Spring Valley, CA.

When registering, please note that players trying out in Poway will join teams based in that area, and players trying out in Spring Valley will join teams within their local community. Each site has its own dedicated registration link, so please make sure you register for the right location.

Per our governing body (SoCal Soccer League), the U7–U9 age group format is held no earlier than the first week of December, the U10–U14 format no earlier than the last week of February, and the U15–U19 high school age group format no earlier than the third week of April.

Looking ahead, beginning with the 2026–27 season, Vaqueros FC will transition to a school-year team cycle (August 1–July 31). This change aligns soccer age groups with U.S. school grades, helping players stay with their classmates and strengthening team chemistry and social cohesion.
